MONTY NIELSEN AWARD
The Monty Nielsen Award is based on one of our founding
fathers. Monty was a very out going and forcefull person who was the Chef at the Hilton for years before he started
to branch out. Before opening Buzzard Lips next to the I.T. in Clovis, he was the Chef at the Bastille in Visalia.
Before Monty's death, caused by a blood clot, he lost nearly all of the extra weight that had him weighing in at over 500lbs.
In his early years of life, Monty served as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War. In his latter years of life,
you could find him in the Deli department of a local Vons.
The Monty Nielson Award represents the Honor,
Dedication, and Persistence that goes into all of the Hard Work it takes to serve the Public..... Day
